As most of you know, The Rotary Foundation is celebrating its 100th anniversary this Rotary year.
What you may not know is that the first Rotary Foundation donation occurred in 1929, a $500 grant to the Easter Seals.  The attached brochure shows how Rotary and Easter Seals have a shared history.  Edgar Allen and fellow Rotarians founded the National Society for Crippled Children, now known as Easter Seals, in 1919 with Paul Harris as its Chairman and Edgar Allen as President.
