Below are two volunteer opportunities that Family Service Association. These are their two biggest needs right now.
FOOD DELIVERY FROM SHELTER TO CLARION HOTEL
Thursdays 2 PM - 4 pm
The drivers pick up cooked meals, cereal and milk from the Homeless Shelter and deliver it to the Clarion Hotel for the residents residing there.
As I mentioned, we have another Rotary club that helps with this on Friday afternoons. They provide 2 drivers each week and rotate through their group. Their contact sends me the name and cell phone number of the drivers each week. They drive their own cars. Let me know if your Rotary club would be interested in taking this on for Thursday afternoons.
SHELTER DRIVER
Monday – Friday: 6 am – 10 am
Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 10 am – 2 pm
*at least one shift per week
Volunteer Drivers to transport shelter residents in an agency van to approved locations. May be asked to help with other driving tasks for the shelter, as needed.
