Warrington, PA – June 2, 2015– Warrington Rotary Club awarded its 1st Annual Warrington Rotary Len Point Memorial Scholarship.  This scholarship was created to honor Lt. Colonel Len Point who was a WW2 Air Force veteran and founding member of the Warrington Rotary Club  in 1965.

 Mary Elizabeth Lyons is the first recipient of the Len Point Scholarship. Ms Lyons is a Warrington resident and Archbishop Wood Graduate who is headed to West Point Military Academy.  She earned a $1,000 scholarship for her outstanding record of community service and her decision to serve her country in the armed forces.

 Rotary is an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. Rotary Club of Warrington, District 7430 has been serving the community since 1965.
